Five acres of land in WalnutTownship were donated by Henry Warner for a church in 1839. It became known as Warner Church. The original church was of the German Reformed and Evangelical Lutheran denominations. Eventually a split occurred with the German Reformed members building another church. The church was closed in the 1940s and the property later sold. TheWarnerChurchCemetery, located to the rear of the building is now cared for by the Walnut Township Trustees.
